What is the hiring process?
Application → 30-min intro call → Demo / case → Half-day campus visit → Offer. We aim to close all 4 stages in 2–3 weeks. We reply to every application within 7 days.
What pedagogy does NCFE follow?
We're CBSE-aligned, but pedagogically we lean concept-first and inquiry-led. We don't use the word 'progressive' because it has come to mean too many things — but we are serious about understanding before drilling.
Do I need a B.Ed.?
B.Ed. is mandatory for all class-teacher and subject-teacher roles from Grade 1 through Grade 12. For Pre-Primary (Nursery–KG), ECCEd or Montessori training is required instead of B.Ed.
Are roles in-person or hybrid?
Teaching and student-support roles are in-person. Operations, Marketing and Tech roles are hybrid (3 days in school, 2 days flexible).
What's the working week and holiday calendar?
Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM–4:00 PM. Saturdays (half-day): 2 working Saturdays in a 4-week month, 3 in a 5-week month — remaining Saturdays off. Teachers get 70 working days of school holidays per year, including a long summer break.
How big are classes and what's the teacher-student ratio?
Average 24 children per class, capped at 28. In Nursery–KG we have 1 lead + 2 assistants per 18 children.
What does AI-native actually mean here?
We use AI daily for lesson planning, assessment generation, parent communication drafting, ops scheduling, marketing — and we teach kids structured AI literacy starting in Grade 6. We don't use AI to replace teacher craft. We use it to give teachers their time back.
Can my kids study at NCFE if I work here?
Yes — eligible staff receive a tuition discount linked to performance and contribution, along with fee-free admission and sibling priority. Discount tier is confirmed at the time of enrolment. Subject to the standard admission process for grade-level fit.
I'm based outside Bangalore — do you support relocation?
For teaching and leadership roles we offer 3 months' housing allowance + a one-way flight. For Ballari specifically we add a relocation grant. Full details in your offer letter.
What's the application deadline?
There is none. We hire continuously across the year, with most teaching offers closing between Jan and April for the next academic year. Operations, leadership and ops roles close as we hire.
Do you take internships or freshers?
Yes. We run an 8-week paid summer teaching internship for fresh graduates considering teaching, with conversion offers for top performers. We also hire ECCEd graduates directly into our early-years team.
How do you decide compensation?
Published bands by role + campus + experience tier. The band is shared before you apply (see Benefits & Growth). No negotiation Olympics.
